Many students entering high school aren’t used to the accelerated lesson plans that teachers may throw at them, especially in biology and honors biology courses. It is important that students stay on top of their assignments and up to date on the readings. Here at the Study Hut, we won’t just help students with their homework, sorry kids. We strive to make sure that the student gains an understanding of the concepts involved and can apply that knowledge to other problems that may not be so straight forward. Learning to think outside of the box is an important skill that can be a very helpful tutor when taking standardized tests like the SAT, SAT II, and ACT. The tutors at Study Hut have been there and done that, believe us. We have tutors that have done the whole deal with biology and chemistry. Honors and AP bio and chem classes in high school and all the way through college earning their bachelor’s in biology and chemistry and are seeking to further their education by going to graduate school and medical school. Our tutors are experienced.
Our tutors were not just naturally gifted. They were once in the same, possibly clueless place as every other student has been. However, with their strong work ethic, which they help instill in their students today, they have learned the best and most efficient ways at studying difficult science classes. Students can come to the study hut with questions and the tutors will teach strategies on how to reach answers to what can be very frustrating and difficult questions. Whether it is memorization of vocabulary in biology, or understanding intermolecular forces in chemistry, the tutors at Study Hut know their stuff and will break down difficult concepts into simple, understandable ideas. Remember, our tutors have all dealt with difficult teachers, and they will be able to simplify the most difficult challenges that a student may be presented with.
