El Segundo 2nd Annual “Party in the park”

May 17th, 2013

Our Manhattan Beach Office Manager Sam and our El Segundo Office Manager Adam will be attending the El Segundo 2nd Annual El! Gala “Party in the park” tonight!! Here is the information about the event from their website!!

Ed! is a non-profit organization run by a volunteer board including parents, community members, local business partners and small staff.  In addition to the board, Ed! has liaisons from the School Board, PTA, School District, and City Council.

Ed!’s sole mission is to raise funds to support our local schools.  Ed! is unique in that it is the only parent organization that can pay for educational programs.  Funding from Ed! is given to ESUSD in the form of a planned and annalized grant.  Every spring, Ed! partners with ESUSD to determine the monetary needs of the school district and identifies the programs and projects the foundation will fund.  Once the grant has been decided, ESUSD plans for the funds in its general budget and Ed! starts fundraising.  Basically, money raised today by Ed! has already been spent by the schools.
