Redondo Beach Algebra Tutor

November 1st, 2017

Looking for a Redondo Beach Algebra tutor?  We definitely can help.  In this article, we explain how Study Hut Tutoring helps students with the specific rigors of Algebra:

Algebra.  The basics.  A foundation for all math to come after it.  The critical cornerstone that all students must overcome.  It’s no wonder your average kid is afraid of the stuff!  But that’s exactly what an algebra tutor is for.

Have you or a loved one ever suffered from taking Algebra?  Are you suffering right now (in the vicinity of Redondo Beach)?  No longer!  We’ve got great Algebra tutors in your area who can not only make algebra bearable, but unleash math powers that you never knew you had.

Work with a Redondo Beach Algebra tutor at Study Hut and we’ll take you through drills and flash cards; we know how to break down problems for maximum understanding.  And this isn’t like a classroom setting, where the teacher can’t spend time on every kid.  At Study Hut, we’re designed to focus on one kid at a time.  We’ll figure out how you best learn algebra, and help you translate from “what the heck?” to “I now know everything.”

To the moms and dads and legal guardians out there: Come down to the Redondo Beach Study Hut and we’ll match your student with an algebra tutor based on what areas they need the most work on and the personality they work best with, as well as what schedule best accommodates you.  All of our tutors are college graduates who have mastered the subjects they’re tutoring.  Not only do they know their material well, but they are friendly and encouraging with kids and motivated to boot.

We strive for an environment that’s comfortable, but productive.  We want students to feel relaxed and successful, and for that feeling to carry over into the classroom so that they can perform at the advanced level that we know they’re capable of.  A Redondo Beach algebra tutor at Study Hut will provide you with everything you need to know about

We’re proud to have helped years of students reach their very best potential.  We want your student to reach theirs as well – so if like what you’ve read, fill out the form below or give us a call at (310) 540-5888.

Summer Fun!

August 2nd, 2013

Summer School is ending… our SAT courses are underway and Fall is right around the corner!

Many of the summer school classes ended this week and we have had a lot of students coming to the Study Hut for help through their classes. Geometry, spanish and government were three classes that many students were taking over the summer.

We have an SAT class going on at both our Manhattan and Redondo Beach locations. After the first 2 weeks, the students in Redondo went up an average of 100 points on their exams.

Many students have been starting SAT training so they do well on the SAT exams coming up in the fall. We have many families who are purchasing packages.

Remember, we have a 24 (12 – 2 hour) sessions, 32 hour (16 – 2 hour) sessions, and a 40 (20 – 2 hour) sessions packages!

We also offer ACT Packages as well if you are interested!

We have a free diagnostic test for the ACT and SAT coming up this Saturday – August 3rd, and another one coming up in 2 weeks on August 17th!!

With Fall right around the corner, students are calling in to reserve times and dates for the fall to come into the Study Hut. We have created a list and it’s first come/first serve.

We have also been really successful this summer with our reading/writing/math students who are in elementary and middle school that are preparing for their coming school year.

Contact us if you would like to know anymore information about any of these topics listed above.

Summer traveling plans!!

July 23rd, 2013

“Summertime,

And the livin’ is easy
Fish are jumpin’
And the cotton is high

Your daddy’s rich
And your mamma’s good lookin’
So hush little baby
Don’t you cry”

We all know the famous song about Summertime! For many of our tutors, summertime is a relaxing few months and gives many of our tutors time to travel and plan fun trips to new places. Many of our girl tutors planned a fun camping weekend in Big Bear and had a great time out in the wilderness.

Our office managers and assistant managers including Co-Owners Rob and SP, MB Office Manager Sam, MB Assistant Manager Kristen, El Segundo Office Manager Adam, RB Office Manager Justin and RB Assistant Manager Tara took a rode trip to the Green River in Utah and canoed for 3 days and over 80 miles down the river. They came back with sunburns and many of them in pain – but also with unforgettable stories and great bonding moments.

One of our tutors went to Europe for a month and a half to backpack through the European Union from the beginning of June until the middle of July.

Other trips included places like Hawaii, San Francisco, music festivals, Mexico, Nashville, and many more.

We are gearing up for Fall and keeping a list of students who want certain days and times during the fall semester – so let us know if you want to be added to our list.

As August slowly approaches, we are getting ready to say goodbye to some of our amazing co-workers here at the Study Hut.

Our MB Office Manager Sam – who has worked at the Study Hut since the beginning – is leaving for Grad School in Nashville soon .

Our El Segundo Office Manager Adam is leaving soon for Texas and our RB Assistant Manager Tara is leaving for Grad School in Northern California soon as well.

We are sad to see them leave, but they are a huge part of our Study Hut family.

Why Hut 1 is Better than Hut 2

August 20th, 2012

Study Hut, coming up on it’s sixth birthday in December has come a long way. Not only have we expanded in the South Bay, but we are now in Newport Beach! By nature, you can only imagine the tutor rivalry that has spurred out from such expansion. The biggest rivalries are between the Manhattan Beach Study Hut, which we tutors like to call “Hut 1 or The Mother Hut”, and the Redondo Beach Study Hut located in the Redondo Beach Riviera Village, which we call, “Hut 2” (take note that no other cool name has been associated with this location). Hence, I have decided to write this blog on the reasons why Hut 1 is inherently better and completely dominates Hut 2.

1. Hut one is bigger and caters to more students. The Hut is always bustling with tons of kids ranging from kindergarten to adults. We tutor the young ones in subjects such as reading and writing, high school kids come in for SATs and whatever other homework they need help with, and we have the occasional adult coming in to learn Spanish, or English for that matter!
2. Our tutors dominate! We can tutor all subjects. Whatever subject you need to be tutored in, we can do it. Even Chinese!!!!
3. We are much facier. We are open seven days a week during the school year! No matter what kind of a bind you are in, we are here for ya! Scheduling around sports proves to be no match for us. Come in on a Saturday or Sunday and knock out your school work before the week begins to get a head start.
Or newly renovated Underground is inundated with new and exciting under the sea decor.
4. We have a self built lifeguard chair. Built just for the manager, Samantha, we dominate the seating arrangements category!
5. Even though they seem to be cool over there they are merely an image of a younger brother stealing the appearance of his older brother so he can play off as “cool” in front of his friends.
6. It is not rare to find the owner Rob BBQing in the parking lot for all of the employees. We all know the way to a tutors’ heart is through their stomach… or their calculator.

All in all, both Huts are great. They both have amazingly qualified tutors with open arms ready to help each and every student that walks in the door. However, it wouldn’t be The Hut if there wasn’t a little friendly rivalry. We like to keep ourselves entertained around here 😉
