Becoming a good student means becoming equipped with well-sharpened study skills.
Ok, so if we already know how to make flashcards, and we know the daily planner is important, why do we still get inconsistent scores on tests?
In truth, study skills, or ANY skills for that matter, take a sustained effort in order to make them effective tools for success. It takes continuity and accountability to really change our skill sets.
Becoming an effective student is a transformation.
So then what is the answer? How do I transform my skill-sets to work smarter and avoid spinning my wheels and becoming burnt-out?
The answer is to learn to sharpen each of your study skills to develop long-term, sustainable study system. This guided approach, where each student can learn how to sharpen and implement their current understanding of what it means to study, is the best way to accomplish your long-term goals.
We do all of this bit-by-bit.
One and a half hours per month, or one and a half hours per week (if the Crash Course is more appropriate) we begin by using our actual academic schedule as our workspace, we begin to refine our craft and hone in on our unique weaknesses. We effect change and drive results through a continuous approach of instruction, accountability, and goal meeting.
After all, we all know that we need to reflect on “what went right, and what went wrong” in order to be a better version of ourselves for the next wave of rigors that we will inevitably face.
Becoming a skillful student is a “two steps forward, one step backward” process, and not a one-time qualification.
For students who are eager to truly transform their approach, Study Hut is now offering 9-[1.5hr] monthly lessons to fully fledge students for flight with respect to study skills. Our Crash Course is 4-[1.5hr] weekly sessions.
One-on-one spots are limited. We will be taking reservations on a first come first serve basis. For all inquiries, please contact rob@studyhut.com
