Reading & Writing
Cognitive Workshop
- 1-on-1 tailored reading/writing instruction
- Flexible scheduling: 2x/week [90 min] sessions recommended
- Packages: 18, 24, or 30 hours
- Skills: reading comprehension, retention, fluency, spelling, vocab, grammar, writing
- Summer is the perfect time to work on these skills that students don’t have time for during the school year.

- Pre-K through 1st students will start with a 1-on-1 Skills Builder Workshop which focuses on the building blocks of reading, phonemic awareness, long vs short vowels, prefixes, suffixes, & roots, sight words, printing letters, capitals vs lowercase, and early sentence structure.
- 2nd & 3rd grade focuses on reading passages with accompanying activities that emphasize recalling facts, inferring data, & vocabulary while strengthening writing basics (writing short summaries and answering questions about the passage).
- 4th & 5th grade students focus on reading short novels with reading comprehension questions, using evidence to support claims, writing structure, and inference.
1-on-1 Math Workshop
- Tailored grade level math instruction
- Review previous difficult concepts while building students’ foundation before next math class
- Pre & Post Assessment
- Flexible scheduling: 2x/week [1 hour] sessions recommended
- Packages: 12, 16, or 20 hours
- Rebuild foundation holes that weren’t properly addressed during the school year; summer is the perfect time to repair that foundation
- Mock practice quizzes and assessments to reinforce learning

Transition Workshops
- Getting ready for middle school!
- Planner, study skills, organization: how to study for each specific class
- Learn effective note taking skills using TED Talk videos
- Preview the books students will be using next year
- Learning to make your own practice quizzes & tests
- Creating study guides & finding websites for extra practice
- Learn to self-advocate: teaching students how to be active and responsible with emailing teachers

Private School Entrance Exams Prep
- ISEE/SSAT prep available
- Pre-assessments to create a baseline of students’ strengths and weaknesses

- Work on test taking strategies, time management, testing endurance
- Take 2–3 additional practice tests before the official test date
