SAT Prep Classes at Study Hut Tutoring

Study Hut exclusively offers 1-on-1 SAT prep classes tailored to meet the needs of college bound high school students.  All of Study Hut’s SAT prep classes are 1-on-1 and appointments are held at our Study Hut locations (Manhattan Beach students attend Mira Costa adjacent office at 1208 Artesia).  

If you are looking for group SAT classes, you may want to consider a few of the major differences between a group class and a one-on-one class so that your expectations are rooted firmly with your initial score and your official SAT score outcomes.  

Group Prep Class vs. 1-on-1

While group SAT prep classes are often an affordable way for self-motivated students to acquire some basic exposure to the SAT exam, students should temper their expectations.  Group classes cover a broad spectrum of strategies and algebraic concepts so students are not able to execute and fine-tune their approach.  Students who are looking to make large score increases (greater than a 100 point increase) should strongly consider a 1-on-1 SAT prep class in lieu of the group.  During 1-on-1 instruction, each concept is tailored to the student.  Moreover, students will not move on to the next lesson until they display proficiency with both the strategy and the concept.  There is a reason why students who are looking to make a big jump on their SAT scores are working with a private tutor.
