El Segundo Tutor

May 21st, 2008

–El Segundo Schools On the Rise!–

El Segundo schools are gaining prominence in the South Bay and and have seen a considerable amount of recent recognition, which is awesome! Both sports and academics are on the rise (Congratulations El Segundo Women’s Water Polo!) Study Hut tutors are happy to provide a place for El Segundo students to continue on the road of academic success and overall achievement. We already have a few El Segundo students in the Hut and are happy to see more El Segundo faces.

Our relaxed environment mixed with a heavy dose of scholastic energy and enthusiasm is working wonders for our Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach students and we are happy to extend our efforts and energy over to our El Segundo neighbors! Our tutors use their depth of knowledge of the area to reach the needs of each student at the Study Hut…. but never without some fun, of course!

If you are looking for help in that one troubling subject (Boo, Geometry), or need of an overall academic boost, we have Spanish Tutors, Math Tutors, Chemistry tutors, History Tutors, English Tutors (and more!) to provide a new outlook, and help keep our students on the right track. No need to feel like you are barely keeping your head above water in those pesky subjects when you can dominate them!

If you are an El Segundo student or parent looking for an El Segundo tutor, call the Hut or email Rob or Sean Patrick for more information. We would love to see you achieve the success you are looking for.

A Great Redondo Beach Tutor

April 17th, 2008

(310) 540-5888 is the phone number for Study Hut Tutoring and one Redondo Beach tutor, Tamer Makeen. Tamer runs Study Hut Tutoring in South Redondo Beach. Located conveniently at 210 Avenue I, Tamer is booking tutoring appointments at an incredible rate. Redondo Beach High School, Palos Verdes High School, Peninsula High School, Rolling Hills Preparatory and Chadwick students find the instruction at the Hut extremely helpful.

When we asked 9th grader Janelle Darman about the Study Hut in Redondo Beach she was eager to exclaim, “I’m excited to learn with Tamer and the Hut team at least twice a week. His Hut is the coolest place I’ve been to, and my two worst grades in math and biology are now my two best grades thanks to all the affordable one-on-one help I receive each hour.” Read the rest of this entry »

SCHOOL’S BACK IN SESSION

August 28th, 2007

Some of you are already back…

Some of you are enjoying the last DAY of summer.

Either way, there is enjoyment still to be had. Going back to school seems like a bummer, but really, it’s mostly a good time.

The first week can be a bit of joke academically… It’s a great time to figure out your new surroundings and catch up with some of your school friends. You want to know where to chill for snack and lunch as well as figuring out the locker situation. For others its a clean slate or, more time to goof off publicly.

The second part is the shopping spree. It’s a spree simply because everything somehow becomes school related when you’re cruisin’ down the aisle at Staples, Office Depot, Costco or even the local Ralphs. I know that platinum blond wool rug at Costco won’t be needed in class, but I would sure find myself studying comfortably. Buying a million cush-grip pens and six folders with iTunes displays doesn’t always do the trick–many teachers will dish out their own shopping lists. Work diligently, because the real spree happens in college.
